30+ years with Cincinnati Commercial Contracting: Beyond Bricks and Mortar for local full-service contractor, builder, developer and real estate company

Mike Tramonte the Elder with his son, Matt Tramonte, at CCC groundbreaking for Tramonte & Sons Distributors, Mason.

Matt and Mike Tramonte know all about Merlot, Chardonnay and Chablis.

Bricks and mortar, build-to-suits, site searches and cap rates, not so much.

โ€œReal estate and commercial construction are not my business, mine is selling wine. It can be a very intimidating process,โ€ said Matt Tramonte, owner/operator of the family-owned Tramonte & Sons Distributors with his father, Mike.

โ€œWe called Cincinnati Commercial Contracting because they owned the land where we wanted to go, and John Westheimer and his people made it a very comfortable environment.

“No question was too small, no detail too minute,โ€ Tramonte said.

โ€œJohn (Westheimer, owner and Prez at CCC) told us he wanted it to be an enjoyable experience for us, and that if we put the time and effort into it, it would be one of our greatest achievements. And it has.โ€

Family-owned businesses are a traditional sweet spot for CCC. Both honor the values of honesty, integrity, hard work, friendship and loyalty.

โ€œWorking with CCC was just such a positive experience. There was so much they did that went beyond the call of what we expected,โ€ said Robbin Krauser, co-owner of family-owned Restaurant Parts & More of Springboro.

โ€œThey built a duck pond in the back during construction so we could fish. They took us to meet with the building people at Springboro at our request which was a real eye-opener,โ€ Krauser said.

โ€œJohn has become a personal friend. Weโ€™re a young company, so he helped us out with our growth, clients, some business-related things that had nothing to do with construction,โ€ Krauser added.

โ€œJohn and CCC are family.โ€

Derrick Co. first approached CCC 10 years ago for an expansion, but did not proceed.

Undeterred, CCC picked up when the metal blaster was ready.

โ€œWhen we first met, all John and I talked about was our farms. Still do,โ€ said Gary Schmid, owner of Derrick Co. in Cincinnati.

โ€œJohn and his team wanted to help us get the facility going and get some business in here.

“It wasnโ€™t just about CCC getting paid. It was all about friends, and families, helping each other.โ€
