The Kelley Financial Group of Norwood, Network Office of Northwestern Mutual in Greater Cincinnati and Dayton, will be in attendance today at the “2010 Best Places to Work” luncheon in Downtown Cincinnati.
The event will be held at the Millenium Hotel, and runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the Cincinnati Business Courier, the event will honor the 56 finalists culled from a field of 200+, including The Kelley Financial Group.
After the lunch, Courier Publisher Doug Bolton will announce a final winner’s list of 13 companies, in multiple categories, based on size (number of employees).
The Kelley Financial Group has operations in Norwood, as well as Satellite Offices in West Chester and Dayton.
The 2010 Best Places to Work program is based on the results of anonymous employee surveys, measuring work-force engagement with the intent to discover:
– how employees feel about management effectiveness;
– the level of trust within their workplace; and
– other relevant workplace issues.
Firms were nominated to participate in the competition, now in its eighth year.
The companies employ more than 38,000 workers.
Those employees participated in online surveys.
And it all comes down to today.
“The competition was even tougher this year, and included 11 past winners,” said Bolton.
“To have engaged employees in this economic environment is a testament to the staying power of these firms.”
