Cincinnati readers of Business news: do you remember Randy Tucker?

Back when Carolyn Pione was Editor of the Business department at The Cincinnati Enquirer, Randy was one of Carolyn’s two right-hand men, along with Mark Wert (who is still at the paper).

Displaced by Enquirer parent Gannett Co.’s clearing-out process/early retirement/stock-reviving moves of the last several years, Randy has landed squarely on his feet.

Mr. Tucker joined The Dayton Daily News as an Enterprise Reporter in September.

“I’m glad to be back in the game,” Randy said today.

Tucker is single, though thoroughly committed to his significant other, Lisa Gillespie.

Theirs was an office romance: Ms. Gillespie is an Administrative Supervisor at The Enquirer.

Randy is a Gopher: a Minnesota native who graduated from the University of Minnesota. Previously, he’s worked at The Evansville Courier and The Omaha World-Herald. He joined The Enquirer in 1998.

Dude’s got quite the commute, too: Mr. Tucker still lives in Erlanger.
