Vicky Davidson from Wright State discussed the latest update to the school’s Master Plan, which will be presented to the Board of Trustees in April. Two new buildings will be advertised for construction, to be used for neuroscience and “engineering collaboration.”
“This version of the Master Plan covers the whole gamut of facilities, where do the parking garages go, how do we accomodate for parking garages, academic classrooms, research facilities, housing, and other zoning plans for the campus,” Davidson said.
Mirizzi discussed the challenges of dealing with an exclusive commuter-based student body that includes 11,400 students and 660 employees.
And parking? “Room for about 2,000,” he said.
“Besides the flow issues, we are experiencing double-digital growth in our students, which the Master Plan, as it exists, does not address,” Mirizzi said.
