
Groundbreaking for Colerain Township Gateway Park, economic development catalyst for Colerain Township and the Ohio Route 27 corridor, kicks off with synonymous ceremonies next Friday, May 11, signaling the launch of Gateway Park, the adjacent Memorial Plaza and a tasty new restaurant to boot, Cheddar’s.
Festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. at the site near the Northgate Mall, at Colerain and Springdale roads in Colerain Township, organized by officials from Greer Companies of Lexington (www.greercompanies.com) and Colerain Township.
The Colerain Township Memorial Plaza will honor Colerain Township police, firefighters, township workers as well as veterans from all U.S. service branches.
Donations are being accepted, and Memorial Pavers are available for sale as tributes to police, fire, and veterans of the Armed Forces.

“Colerain Township Gateway Park represents not only the Memorial Plaza, but an economic development project that has served as a catalyst to the revitalization of the entire Northgate Mall property,” said Jeff Ritter, President of the Colerain Township Trustees.
Design consultants for Colerain Township Gateway Park and Memorial Plaza are MSI + KKG (landscape architecture), Brownstone Design (graphic design) and CDS Associates Inc. (civil engineering).
The Colerain Township Trustees areย Ritter (Trustee President), Dennis Deters (Trustee Vice President) and Melinda Rinehart (Trustee).
