
Gary Lynn Nolan was a fireballing right-hander from Northern California just 18 when he won his first game for the Redlegs, a 7-3 W over the Houston Astros on April 15, 1967. Nolan wound up finishing third in 1967 NL Rookie of the Year voting on the strength of a 14-8 record with 206 Ks, 62 BBs and a scorching 2.58 ERA, eventually won by Tom Seaver. He enjoyed a stellar 10-year career with your Cincinnati Redlegs.
A fan favorite who pitched in both the 1970 and 1972 World Series ย against the Baltimore Orioles and Oakland Athletics, Nolan battled back from injuries to also pitch in both the 1975 and 1976 Cincinnati Redsย World Series Championships over the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.
In the ’76 Series, Nolan closed out the Redlegs‘ four-game sweep of the Yankees with a W.

1970: 18-7 with 181 strikeouts, 96 walks and a 3.26 ERA.
1972: 15-5 with 90 Ks, 30 walks and a 1.99 ERA.
1975: 15-9 with 74 Ks, 29 walks and a 3.16 ERA.
1976: 15-9 113 Ks, 27 walks and a 3.46 ERA.
Inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame in 1983, Gary Lynn Nolan finished 110-70 with 1,039 Ks, 45 complete games, 14 shutouts and a 3.08 ERA.
