REDS STADIUM OPTIONS IN 1981: Full Mile Driving Park in Oakley, Woodruff Estate in Clifton and a Licking River site in Covington, Ky.The ’91 Reds were a two-headed contraption playing ball in both the National League and the American Association. For the first and only season in the history of professional baseball in Cincinnati, there were two teams in town.
Both called themselves the Reds.
Before Babe Ruth, there was Mike ‘King’ Kelly of the #Cincinnati @Reds, @MLB HOF Class of 1945.The ’91 American Association@Reds were known as “Kelly’s Killers,” led by the indomitable Michael Joseph “King” Kelly, and played at a new facility on the Ohio River, East End Park, the precursor to Schmidt Fields.
