[City of Union, Ky. ~ 6.14.24] A fresh round of retail at Union Promenade gets a kick-start early Monday morning from the newest neighbors at the Live/Work/Play development off U.S. 42, led by local developer/investor Hemal Soni of Union, and four new businesses opening in this booming, coveted corner of Boone County, Ky.

On deck: Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Schlotzky’s Deli, Fresh Cinnabon Concept and a Wine and Spirits outlet.

All will be located at new buildings to be constructed on Mr. Soni’s two parcels, at Children’s Way and U.S. 42, comprising a a key corner of Union Promenade.

The newest round of Union Promenade retail will be fronting the new Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center facility now under construction, officially known as the Cincinnati Children’s Brandon and Kelly Janszen Union Building.

“Here is the message,” said Mr. Soni. “Our emphasis, and our priority, is hiring local.” Mr. Soni is a Union resident who has been investing in local retail projects for more than two decades.

Mr. Soni has tapped OnSite Retail Group for leasing, Viox & Viox for civil engineering, RSL Commercial Architecture for project design, and Wright Contracting of Florence as general contractor. Project Manager Justin Foster lives nearby.

This Monday, June 17th, Mr. Soni will celebrate his purchase of Lots 4 and 5 with an 8 a.m. groundbreaking event, commencing the construction of two new buildings totaling 19,169 square feet.
