Live radio from 1940s Cincinnati – Holland syndicated nationwide programming from Sinton Hotel Studios, Fourth and Vine

Darryl Parks, Sam Pollack and Bill Holland at Sinton Hotel Studios in Downtown Cincy, circa 1940s

The Sinton Hotel Studios at Fourth and Vine in Downtown Cincy – now the site of the Provident Tower, then the home to holland advertising : interactive in the 1940s – was a factory of original, live radio programming back in the day.

Demolished in 1964 to make way for The Provident Tower, holland advertising : interactive and Sinton Hotel Studios delivered a host of live radio shows, the most popular of which was “The Firefighters,” syndicating to 225 markets across the U.S.

You may recognize the dude on the right: William “Bill” Holland, founder of holland advertising : interactive and the ubiquitous “Bill” in Holland marketing materials (http://www.HollandAdvertising.com).

The middleman: Dr. Sam Pollack, DDS, radio pioneer behind “Dr. Pollack’s Amateur Hour.”

Guy on the left:ย Darryl Parks, from the old WKRC-TV.

The father of 700 WLW Ops Manager Darryl Parks? Inquiring minds wanted to know; Mr. Parks declined to respond.

My How Times Have Changed Department:

After 73 years in Cincinnati, digital strategy and tools are the weapons of choice at holland advertising : interactive, where a host of new clients have the agency up 15 percent this year …. read about it in this week’s Cincinnati Business Courier.
