One of the leading voices in the Greater Cincinnati media, Tom Callinan, is leaving Enquirer Media for a teaching post at the University of Cincinnati, according to several well-placed sources in the local journalism community.
Callinan is Editor and Vice President of Content and Audience Development. His online profile at The Enquirer can be found here:
Callinan’s rumored replacement may also be a familiar name to many.
Rick Green, executive editor of The Desert Sun, another Gannett newspaper, is a leading candidate, according to sources.

Callinan could not be reached for comment.
Green has called back from Sunny Southern California, but we’re playing phone tag.
Informed sources indicate an announcement will be made this afternoon regarding Callinan’s departure.
When his replacement will be named has not yet been able to be determined.
